What is the difference between a custom built computer from a store like Ingram Computer Services and a computer from a major manufacturer like Dell, HP or Gateway? That is the question we get all the time. We have two answers:
1) Service
2) Open Architecture
Service - When you buy a computer from ICS you get to talk to someone you know and understand. If there is a major problem, their is no shipping the computer across country and waiting 2-3 weeks to get it back. Plus, you usually lose all your data because they format your hard drive to eliminate problems. If you have a computer from ICS, we can usually fix it the same day. We understand that being without your computer can be an inconvenience. That is why we work hard to get you up and going as soon as possible.
Open Architecture - Some computer manufacturers use non-standard parts that cannot be replaced with parts from third party manufacturers. You must order these components directly from the manufacturer. These usually result in a higher cost of 2-3 times what the price of a standard part would cost. ICS computers follow the open architecture standard. This means that parts are readily replaceable by third party manufacturers. You can take an ICS computer to Australia and a computer shop there will have the parts to service the computer.
Ingram Computer Services only uses high quality parts that we would use ourselves. We look for manufacturers that backup their products with quality warranties and service.
ICS backs all its computers and servers with a One Year parts and onsite labor warranty. Free delivery in Montgomery Co, Tennessee.
